Day 17 - Last Full Day In Palm Springs

This is day #17 of our trip across the USA and we are enjoying our last full day in Palm Springs. We started out from our home in Stonington, Maine on February 4 and traveled in our station wagon to the Pacific Ocean (Day 13). On our way back East, we stopped in Palm Springs for 4 nights. Today, we have done even less than we did yesterday, but we are having a nice break from driving in the car. I did manage to get out for a bit to get my hair cut. It was looking too much like a toupée.

Our days of relaxation come to an end tomorrow, as we have to get up early and head further east. Our goal is El Paso, Texas, which is about a 10 hour drive. Tonight we have to do some laundry, repack (so nice not having to dig clothes out of a suitcase), and load up the car. Think we will just get a pizza for dinner.
This is a shot from our webcam pointing out the front window of our house in Stonington, Maine.
I was missing our view early this morning. It is nice to be able to see a live shot from the phone.
What I don't miss is that the low tonight is going to be 8 degrees Fahrenheit.

  1. A fair $25's worth of cut, I'd say. You've got a bit more on top than remains on mine (and to think that I once sported an Afro! - all of 40 years ago). I actually hope to get mine done today too, not costing much less than yours - though part of that also includes having the beard given a professional trimming.

    1. Happy and problem-free onward travel, btw. (This is YOUR blog, not mine!)
