Day 12 - Hooray for North Hollywood

Today is Saturday, the 12th day of our trip and we finally crossed into California. We left from beautiful Sedona, Arizona, relatively early this morning and headed west. First one last shot from Sedona. The red rocks are amazing.
We drove south, or I should say Shane drove south toward Phoenix. Eventually, we saw field after field of tall cacti growing wild along the road. It was very cool.
Weirdly, we saw this donkey running across the road we were on near Phoenix.
Finally, we made it to the Golden State!
These windmill farms were outside of Palm Springs on our way to La La Land.
We arrived to our hotel, a Holiday Inn Express in Northern Hollywood around 3 p.m. PST. After checking in, Shane heard what we later found out was the maid cleaning the room above us and apparently she was making quite a racket. To make a long story short, we were able to change rooms to a top floor room. After all that was settled, we took the subway down to Hollywood Boulevard. I had heard LA had a subway, but it really does and we went from North Hollywood to regular Hollywood.
At Grauman's Chinese Theater
Cary Grant
Judy Garland's cement signature at Grauman's.
Shane with Liz Taylor's block promoting the movie, Giant.
My hands are the same size as Humphrey Bogart's.
Shane on Hollywood Boulevard.
I cleaned some bird poop off of Tippi Hedren's star.
Della Reese's star.
Shane does jazz hands for Liza.
Children stomping on Donald Trump's star.
Cecil County's own Milburn Stone from Gunsmoke.
After walking around Hollywood a while, we were starved and managed to find a horrible and expensive Chinese restaurant.  It was a long day and we decide to go back to NoHo for a drink and then back to the Holiday to relax. We have a lot planned for tomorrow.
Here's the route we took today.
