Day 21 - Walking, I Mean Driving Back to Memphis

Monday was day 21 of our cross-country trip, and we drove from New Orleans to Memphis, Tennessee. It was about a 6 hour drive. that Shane used to work and travel with that became friends.
This was the first time both Shane and I were in Mississippi and we drove from one end to the other.
This was my first time in Tennessee.

Our friends Liz and Ashley sit between Shane and I at our hotel.
We met our friends from Arkansas in Memphis, Liz and Ashley Blankenship, a mother and daughter The Blankenships took us out on the town... first to the original Peabody Hotel for drinks and the march of the ducks. Then we went out to dinner. Unfortunately, Liz had hurt her shoulder previously and it was acting up, so she had to retire early. Ashley took us to Beale Street and B.B. King's Blues Club for some great music.  Below are some pics and videos of the day.
We went to the original Peabody Hotel nearby and watched the march of the ducks. See video below.

Liz took us down to Beale Street in Memphis and we went to B.B. King's Blues Club and heard some great music.
We sat right next to the stage and had a great view of a B.B. King's All Stars.
It was a very fun night out on the town! We had a great night in Memphis and was so much fun to see Ashley and Liz again. Just take a look at Shane and Ashley tearing up the dance floor below.
It was a Monday night, so the crowd was very light, but Memphis is an amazing party town. We had a nightcap at a bar near our hotel, Bardog, where we were surprised to see people smoking inside. It had been a while since we saw this being allowed.
