Day 22 - Morning at Graceland & Then to Nashville

We woke up a little hung over this morning after a night of fun in Memphis, but we couldn't come all the way to Memphis and not go to Elvis's home, Graceland. So we did. Our friends Ashley and Liz, who are from Arkansas and met us in Memphis yesterday, joined us at Graceland. See the pictures below.

After our tour we said goodbye to our friends Ashley and Liz and drove the three hours to Nashville. Tonight we have tickets to the Grand Ole Opry. More about that tomorrow.

    Don't suppose the guided tours include the toilet where it all ended? Apologies for lowering the tone but, you know, just curious. :-)

      They didn't go into any details about the end during the tour, which was a self-guided, pre-recorded package performed by TV personality John Stamos and presented on a mini-ipod. There also were no images of heavy Elvis taken near the end. They seemed to want to put the best spin on his life, which is understandable. This was a positive homage.
